The Senior section at Maidenhead AC provides something for all standards of runner. Whether you’re running for fitness, fun or full-on competition, there is something on offer for you! See the sections below for more information. If you’re not yet a member, you can find the details and join here or come to a few sessions first to try us out with no obligation or cost.

Standards catered for

MAC Welcomes members of a wide range of standards. As a guide, you should be able to run continuously for 4-5 miles for Wednesday runs. Tuesdays track sessions can cater for runners who can complete 5km at any pace. Sundays usually start from around 8 miles;

Coaching

Maidenhead has a number of coaches with a wealth of experience who can help you improve. All our coaches a volunteers and are UK Athletics qualified. See the senior coaching section for information on coached sessions and training plans.

Road Running

Despite the name, Maidenhead Athletic Club is predominantly a road running club so don’t be put off by the name! See all the information about Road Running in the senior section.

Events & Competitions

Seniors participate in two series of events with other local clubs throughout the year. There is a competitive element to both of these series’, however they are open to and enjoyed by runners of all standards. EVERY member is welcome and the emphasis is on fun!

In addition, throughout the year, members can represent Maidenhead AC in any open races. Some of these will contribute to the Club Championship, one of the Senior Awards which cover both road running and cross country.

The hotly contested Helpers’ Handicap is open to any member who helped at the Easter 10 event earlier the same year.

There are a couple of events we’d like to enter a a club in June 2019. Please see here for details and to register your interest.

Social

We like to play hard as well as run hard and there are plenty of social events throughout the year – some for seniors only and some coming together with the Junior Section. These range from quiz nights to pub runs, the christmas and club awards evenings and running trips to Le Touquet.

Member Benefits

Club members enjoy a number of benefits, please see the MAC Joiners Info brochure for details.
