Bracknell Young Athletes Open Meet
Saturday 25th March saw the start of the Track and Field season for MAC juniors as they competed in the Bracknell Young Athletes Open Meet. Three athletes achieved medals and several just missed out, finishing in fourth place. A number of young athletes made their debut appearances for the club. And there were a very impressive of PBs.
The three medallists were:-
Chloe Siddons - Bronze in U13 discus, this was Chloe's first competitive competition throwing a discus
Luke-Lom Hynes - Gold in U15 800m
Nathan Brammer - Bronze in U17 1500m
Making their debut were:-
Isla Page, Ava Neeves, Dylan Garrard, Ruby Dale, Ruby Foyle, Bethany Blackwell, Katherine. Crawcour , Maddie Sturt and Alannah Ryder.
There were many athletes who got pb's on the day, here is a few of them: U17 Christopher Otun in High Jump; Jessica Dibley in 1500m; Alicia Durbaca in both Discus and Shot: Abbie Jones in long jump; Callum Nicoll in 800m; and Harry Shrimpton in Long Jump.
Some outstanding performances on the day were Maddie Sturt in U11 75m; Isla Page U13 in both her 600m and 75m races; and Katie Losel in U13 High Jump.
Sussex Coastal Trail Run
On Saturday 18th March Lesley Kernaghan travelled to Sussex for a 10K coastal trail run starting at Birling Gap. It was a tough course on a windy day and she finished in 1hr 26mins to be 3rd FV60. (The actual distance was more than 10k – 12.4k or 7.7 miles!)
It was a very friendly and well organised event.

Congratulations to MAC members who achieved Parkrun milestones on Saturday 25th March:
Pauline Siddons joined the ParkRun 100 club and Jon Oliver who joined the 50 club at the Maidenhead ParkRun.
