Thames Valley League Cross Country

On Remembrance Sunday a big team of MAC runners took part in the Thames Valley Cross Country League in Eton.  There were some old faces and some new faces but certainly plenty of smiling faces at the end.  The provisional team result is 10th place. Results are as follows:-

Bath Hilly Half
Gerry Killen ran Bath Hilly Half on Sunday 13th November, an off-road half marathon described as a country course, with stiles, hills, tussocks, rough tracks, more hills, fantastic views and kissing gates.
He certainly saw all of them especially the hills. His time was 01:58:35 which also won his age category.
Junior News

On Sunday 20th November Maidenhead fielded 11 teams in Match 2 of the Sportshall Competition with some outstanding performances on the day.
Overall Results:-
U11 Girls Blue - 3rd; Girls Red - 11th; Boys Blue - 11th
In the U11 Girls Annie Jonkers was joint 3rd in triple jump; Amelie Helm was joint 2nd in vertical jump; and Katie Losel and Annie Jonkers were joint 2nd in 1+1lap.
In the U11 Boys Jack Britton was joint 3rd in obstacle race; and Luke Thornton was joint 3rd in target throw.
U13 Girls - Blue - 3rd; Girls - Red - 7th; Girls - Yellow – 8th; Boys Blue - 4th; Boys Red - 8th
In the U13 Girls Olivia Hall had amazing results, taking 1st place in Vertical Jump and Chest push and joint 2nd in 2 laps; Olivia D'Aversa was 2nd in triple jump and Nadine Phelps was joint 1st on the balance beam for the full 60 seconds; Hannah Britton took 3rd place in hi-stepper
In the U13 Boys Adam Ulhaq came joint 1st in 2 laps, joint 2nd in Obstacle relay and hi-stepper; Jacob Snowdon came 3rd in vertical jump and 4 laps; and Callum Nicoll came 2nd in the balance test.
U15 Girls Blue - 2nd; Girls Red - 4th; Boys Blue – 4th
In the U15 Girls Abbie Jones took 1st place in the 4 laps, triple jump and speed bounce; Laura House took 2nd place in speed bounce; Olivia Phelps was joint 1st in 2 laps; Michaela Nicoll took 1st place in hi-stepper and 2nd place in chest push, Three MAC girls took thetop three places in balance beam: in 1st place was Lucy Thornton; in 2nd place was Harriet Graham; and 3rd place was Gukiren Sandher. 
Olivia Phelps, Abbie Jones, Harriet Graham and Michaela Nicoll took joint first in the hurdles relay.
Well done to everyone who competed and achieved amazing results. Thanks to Steve, Barbara and all our team managers and parent helpers.
Gosport Half Marathon
On Sunday 20th November Sayeed Islam and Greg Marsh braved Storm Angus and travelled to the south coast for the Gosport Half Marathon. In very windy conditions Greg finished in 1:34:46 and Sayeed in 1:42:21.
