This week's news includes:
- Easter 10
- Beaconsfield Trail Race
- Le Touquet Half-Marathon planning
- Membership Renewals
Thanks to lots of hard work by lots of people, this year's race on Good Friday 14th April was again a great success. The weather was kind to us and entries were up by 6% on last year. Particular thanks must of course go to Jon Kew in his first year a Race Director and to Judi Jeffries as Chief Marshal.
Whilst most Club members were helping the event to run smoothly, we do enter a team (by invitation). Also, a few new members ran who had already entered before joining MAC. Some very impressive times here.
The event was supported by both Prime Minister Theresa May and Borough Mayor Sayonara Luxton. Some national coverage ensued!
Final full results and prize winners are on the website at http://www.maidenheadac.org/easter-10/
There is a video of the start and a photo gallery. A dedicated Easter 10 page is available on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/MaidenheadEaster10/ Please Like it.
Beaconsfield Trail Race
On Easter Monday 13 MAC members took part in the fifth Beaconsfield 5mile trail race. The weather was a little on the cool side to start, but within minutes the conditions turned out to be perfect. A really well organised race through private grounds and when you could take your eyes off the ground you could catch a glimpse of bluebells. Jon Kew was first home for Maidenhead. The full results are as follows:

Pauline came first in her age category.
Le Touquet Half-Marathon
This year's race on the northern French coast takes place on Saturday 5th August. The Club usually sends a contingent of runners for the weekend. Look out for a more detailed message in the next few days.
Senior membership renewals are almost complete. Finals reminders will go out today to the remaining few hold-outs! Remember: participation in the summer 5k series is for paid-up members only.
