ADS Charity Santa Fun Run

Jon Kew and Anne Miles both ran the ADS Santa Run at Dorney Lake on a sunny but cold day and Jon was the first man home in 18.10 for the 5K event. U11 junior member Lucas Norton competed as part of his cub group and finished in just over 21 mintes.
Junior Sports Hall
Maidenhead U11s attended the U11 championships on Sunday at TVAC where we fielded one boys’ team and two girls’ teams.
The boys did very well given they were by far the youngest with many competing for the first time. They finished a very credible 8th out of 11 teams showing lots of promise for the future.

Our red team of girls finished 11th out of 12 however they only had 4 team members and a minimum of 6 is needed to compete in all events.

The blue girls’ team, consisting of Katie Losel, Annie Jonkers, Erin Rees, Sophie Winters, Amelie Helm and Eleanor Dries,  finished 2nd, taking a silver medal. There were several very strong performances which were Annie Jonkers won 1 Lap Obstacle with Katie Losel taking 2nd place, both girls also took 2nd place in 1+1 Lap. Annie also won Standing Triple Jump and High Stepper. Eleanor Dries came 2nd in the Foam Javelin.

Thanks to team manager Steve and to Barbara, Sam, Gordon and Anthony who all contributed massively on the day; and to Karen and Abbie for tackling a lot of the admin in the run up to the event.
Wargrave 10k – a late result!
Pauline Siddons has just learned from Berkshire County Road Running that she got a bronze in the 10k Berkshire Road Running Championships at Wargrave in June in the FV55 category - the only medallist from MAC this year. She had mistakenly been left off the medal list but has received it now.
