Maidenhead AC hosted the Berkshire Cross Country Championships at Braywick Park on Saturday 7th January.  It was a very successful event thanks to very efficient organising by Cross Country captain Leila Oliver and many club members who supported by manning the car park, marshalling, and providing very welcome refreshments.  MAC was also well represented by junior members who competed including Luke Lom Hynes who came 2nd in U13 and qualified for the inter-county championships in Birmingham and Nathan Brammer who came 10th in U17, narrowly missing out on qualifying. News from Michael Hiscott

Michel recently donned his MAC vest and represented the club in two races whilst he was back visiting his family in the UK over the Christmas period.
He was particularly pleased to be training and racing again having had two foot surgeries (one on each foot) in 2016. The first race was the Clevedon 4 mile Boxing Day race, where he finished 2nd with a time of 19:39.  Michael also raced the Nos Galan New Year’s Eve 5km in what was a very hot field. He ended up in 11th place with a time of 15:03.
The new website was successfully launched on 1st January thanks to a lot of hard work by webmaster Matthew Shaw and several working groups focusing on different sections of the site.  We are delighted to welcome Chris Sutton as the first new member to join and pay subs online!
