Blueiron Reading O2O 10k
On Sunday four MAC members took part in the Blueiron Reading O2O 10k.  A fair bit of the course is on grass/trails/footpaths along the Thames before reaching Reading town centre and then doubling back.  It is classed as a fast course but maybe because of rain the previous day it seemed hard work.  In fact Colin Symons commented that he runs faster on a Wednesday night with the club.  However, the race was well organised and marshals encouraging.  Colin was first home for the club.  The results are below (chip timing in brackets):
Colin Symons                 00:44:54 (00:44:47)
Jeremy Lockett              00:53:41 (00:53:27)
Carolyn Lockett              00:53:41 (00:53:28)
Pauline Siddons              00:58:19 (00:58:06)
Pauline was 2nd in her age category.

Salisbury Half Marathon
Hannah Vosser wanted to break 1 hour 40 minutes in the Salisbury Half Marathon on Sunday, and succeeded, finishing in 01:39:49 (1:39:43).
Palace to Palace
Jon Oliver cycled the 45 miles from Buckingham Palace to Windsor Castle on Sunday in aid of The Prince’s Trust. He finished in 2 hours 45 minutes.
